Standard expandable polystyrene EPS is manufactured by the suspension polymerization method. The polymerization is generally carried out in a batch process. Various grades of EPS are supplied in free-flowing beads containing pentane (CFC-free) as a foaming agent. EPS is used for fast-cycle low-density block mold applications with a good surface finish.

GPPS 1160 is a high heat resistance and molecular weight crystal polystyrene for extrusion and biaxially oriented polystyrene (OPS) industry. It is particularly useful in thick sheet production through direct inject gassing, resulting in expanded sheets with high mechanical properties.

GPPS 1460 is a high heat resistance and molecular weight crystal polystyrene designed for extrusion and thick-walled injection molding applications. It’s especially suitable for thick sheet production by direct inject gassing, providing expanded sheets with high mechanical properties.

T-GPPS 1540 is an easy-flowing crystal polystyrene ideal for extrusion and injection applications. It enhances extruder output and reduces thermoforming cycle time, especially when combined with high-impact polystyrene such as HIPS 7240. T-GPPS 1540 is well-suited for glossy-layer coextrusion applications.

T-HIPS 7240 is a very high-impact polystyrene for the extrusion industry. This grade has been designed to be diluted with crystal polystyrene. The good melt strength of this grade makes it particularly suited for deep-draw thermoforming.

T-HIPS 7350ESCR is a high-impact polystyrene grade with improved stress crack resistance compared to conventional high-impact polystyrene. It has excellent melt strength, making it suitable for deep-draw thermoforming. It offers good environmental stress crack resistance at low temperatures, ideal for applications in frozen packaging and oily food and dairy products.

T-HIPS 8350 is a high-impact polystyrene designed for extrusion sheets, offering improved ESCR compared to other high-impact polystyrene types like HIPS 7240. It provides excellent melt strength, making it ideal for deep-draw thermoforming. T-HIPS 8350 is suited for packaging applications that may involve stress cracking from fats, oils, or low temperatures, including products requiring contact with HCFC-expanded foam insulation.
