Product NameT-HR 2340

Description:
T-HR 2340 is a styrenic terpolymer (ABS) grade with enhanced toughness compared to HIPS grades. It shows low shrinkage, good dimensional stability, and is widely used in general injection molding applications. T-HR 2340 is recommended for various applications requiring high resistance to heat.

Applications:

  • Furniture
  • Automotive parts
  • General injection molding
  • Appliance casings and home appliances with heat resistance characteristics

Drying Recommendations:

  • Prior to processing, drying is advised in a desiccant dehumidifying hopper dryer.
  • Inlet air dew point of -20°F (-29°C) or below is recommended to achieve a moisture content of 0.1%.
  • Typical drying conditions:
    • 2 hours at 180° – 190°F (82° – 88°C).
    • 4 hours at 160° – 170°F (71° – 77°C) if lower temperature is preferred.
